Batik fabrics assembled using Jinny Beyer's 'Pacific Rim' pattern from RJR Fabrics.

With lots of bias cuts, this is a challenging pattern. The first time I put it together, I wasn't happy with the piecing--it wasn't square and it had many points that didn't line up well. I put it away to work on later (maybe never, I thought). But it kept calling to me. After a few days, I took it out of the closet, took it apart and recut some pieces and put it back together. Second time around, it was much better.
